Yoo Jae-suk Reportedly Signed 10 Billion Won Contract, but “He’s Not Moved by Money”

On July 12, a new episode of YouTube show Pinggyego was uploaded to the channel “DdeunDdeun,” featuring [TWICE] members Jeongyeon, Sana, Jihyo, and Nayeon as guests. The stars engaged in casual conversations with Yoo Jae-suk and Ji Suk-jin.
Yoo praised TWICE for staying together for a decade, to which Ji Suk-jin added, “The biggest challenge is usually the 7-year contract renewal. You girls must’ve received offers with huge signing bonuses and still stayed.”

Jihyo responded with a laugh, saying, “I didn’t get any offers,” and Jeongyeon chimed in, “Me neither,” drawing laughter from the group. Nayeon then asked, “Do people usually get lots of offers when contracts end?” Yoo answered, “Since I work independently, I’ve received many.”
When Nayeon asked directly if Yoo had gotten many offers, Ji Suk-jin jumped in: “I know this. There was a time when so many people approached him. Some even asked me to pass along offers, saying, ‘Isn’t Yoo Jae-suk’s contract ending soon? We can offer this much.’ I relayed those offers—but he didn’t accept any.”
Sana asked, “Was there an even better offer?” Ji Suk-jin replied, “No, it’s not about that. Yoo Jae-suk isn’t someone who moves for money.”
Yoo Jae-suk added, “I remember hyung (Ji Suk-jin) passed along offers from two companies,” and Ji quipped, “But he never helped me with my own contract,” causing laughter on set.
Yoo Jae-suk officially signed with Antenna, the agency led by Yoo Hee-yeol, in 2021. Rumors suggested that the contract was worth over 10 billion KRW. Industry insiders estimated the total deal—including options—could range between 10 billion to 20 billion KRW.
Yoo Hee-yeol previously revealed on MBC’s Hangout with Yoo that Yoo Jae-suk initially wanted to sign without a signing bonus, but Hee-yeol insisted otherwise: “He’s like the best cleanup hitter of Korea. Signing him without a bonus would set a bad example for the juniors.”
